Buffalo’s Pickleball Tournament Raises Funds for Pediatric Cancer

Buffalo’s Pickleball Tournament: Buffalo, NY — On October 12, Buffalo RiverWorks will host its inaugural Pickleball for P.U.N.T. tournament, an exciting event welcoming players of all skill levels. The event aims to raise funds for the P.U.N.T. Foundation, which provides critical support for families facing pediatric cancer diagnoses across Western New York.

Set against the backdrop of Buffalo’s iconic RiverWorks, the tournament offers a day of fun and friendly competition for all beginners and experienced players. Participants can choose between two brackets: the Entry-Level bracket, designed for newcomers and casual players, and the Competitive bracket, geared toward seasoned players seeking to test their skills.

The Entry-Level games will run from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., while the Competitive bracket takes the court from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Teams will face six different opponents in the Qualifiers, a round-robin format before the top teams advance to a single-elimination playoff round.

All proceeds from the tournament will directly benefit the P.U.N.T. Foundation’s six programs, which provide emotional, financial, and practical support to families affected by pediatric cancer in the WNY area, especially during the challenging holiday season.

Participants and supporters are encouraged to register early, with opportunities available to sponsor courts and teams. Attendees should note a $5 parking fee at RiverWorks.
