The 2024 Mayor’s Pickleball Tournament returns to Parkersburg City Park this weekend, featuring two days of competitive play. The tournament kicks off at 9 a.m. on Saturday, with women’s doubles followed by men’s doubles around 1 p.m. The action continues on Sunday, September 22, with mixed doubles starting at 1 p.m.
Organizers and Format
Hosted by the Parkersburg YMCA in collaboration with Parkersburg Mayor Tom Joyce and the Wood County Recreation Commission, the tournament will feature round-robin style play. Participants will also receive a ticket to the Harvest Moon Festival and have the chance to win various prizes, including gift cards and a new pickleball bag.
Registration Details
The registration fee is $40, covering both days of play. Interested players aged 18 and up can register online through the Parkersburg YMCA website until Wednesday, September 18 at 5 p.m. On-site registration will be available on the event days but must be completed at least 30 minutes before play begins.
