The PickleBOO Mash Tournament: Where Costumes and Pickleball Collide

The PickleBOO Mash Tournament: Pickleball players in Southern California are gearing up for a fun and spooky weekend as Fallbrook Tennis & Pickleball Club hosts the annual “PickleBOO” Mash on Saturday, October 26. Participants are encouraged to bring their A-game and their best Halloween costumes, with the chance to win medals and show off their pickleball skills in a competitive but lighthearted setting.

The event will feature a round-robin format, giving players plenty of opportunities to hit the courts. Play will be divided into skill levels and age divisions, starting at 9 a.m. with matches for men’s and women’s teams in the 4.5, 4.0, and 3.5 skill brackets. The mixed doubles competition follows at noon, with categories ranging from 4.5+ to 3.0. The day will conclude with 3.0 men’s and women’s matches at 3 p.m.

Each player will compete in six games for 11 points, with the top four teams advancing to the medal finals. It’s not just about the competition, though—organizers are encouraging players to wear costumes, adding fun to the event. Whether a seasoned pickleball player or someone looking for a good time, this tournament promises plenty of action.

Registration costs $35 per player, and there are limited spots available. No partner? No problem—organizers will help match players. With 12 permanent courts, the Fallbrook club is ready for what promises to be a festive day of pickleball.

The “PickleBOO” Mash is part of a series of upcoming events at the club, including the “Thanks Dinking” tournament on November 16 and the “Pickle Mingle & Jingle” on December 14.
