Pickleball Fundraiser for Reins in Motion: On September 28, from 8:45 AM to 4:30 PM, The Club at Livermore will host a Pickleball Fundraising Social, a collaborative effort between The Inspire & Propel Project and the club itself. Set against the picturesque backdrop of 2000 Arroyo Road, Livermore, this event offers participants a chance to engage in a beloved sport while supporting a noble cause.
Supporting Reins in Motion
The proceeds from this event will directly benefit the Reins in Motion Foundation, a volunteer-based therapeutic riding program. With a mission to provide equine therapy services to individuals with special needs, as well as physical and intellectual disabilities, Reins in Motion plays a vital role in the community.
Currently, the foundation has two PATH-certified instructors, over 30 dedicated volunteers, and approximately 50 clients attending weekly sessions at the ranch. Beyond supporting those with special needs, RIM also conducts a weekly two-hour program for local veterans, aptly named Reins for Heroes.
Event Details
This mixed doubles social will feature the engaging King/Queen of the Court format. To ensure balanced pairings, participants are encouraged to submit their pickleball ratings. Those with a DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) or UTPR (the rating system used in USA Pickleball tournaments) should provide their ratings.
For those who do not have either, they can simply indicate whether they consider themselves a beginner, intermediate, or advanced player. After purchasing tickets, attendees will receive an email requesting this information to help seed the courts effectively.
What’s Included
A ticket priced at $99 covers a thrilling 4 to 6 games, lunch, beer or wine, and a swag bag filled with goodies. For those who wish to support without stepping onto the court, a spectator ticket is available for $35, which includes lunch, two drink tickets (with the option to purchase more at the event), and access to refreshments like water, bagels, fruit, and more. This option allows non-players to cheer for their favorite participants and partake in yard games and a raffle, all while connecting with the incredible team behind Reins in Motion.
Important Notes
As this is a cashless event, attendees are reminded to bring only card payments. Additionally, no pets will be allowed, and participants must wear non-marking shoes, preferably with white soles, to protect the court surface. These regulations apply to all ticket holders, as portions of the event will take place on the courts.
