Newtown’s Pickleball Fun Day: The Friends of Newtown Pickleball, in conjunction with Newtown Parks and Recreation, proudly announces the opening of registration for the upcoming Pickleball Fun Day at Fairfield Hills. Scheduled for Saturday, September 28, from 9 am to 3 pm, this event aims to engage the community in a day of recreational activity and competition. A rain date has been set for Sunday, September 29.

Pickleball Fun Day: A Community Celebration

Registration is now open for the much-anticipated Pickleball Fun Day at Fairfield Hills, scheduled for Saturday, September 28, from 9 am to 3 pm. This exciting event, organized by the Friends of Newtown Pickleball in collaboration with Newtown Parks and Recreation, promises a day filled with fun, competition, and community spirit.

In case of rain, the event will be postponed to Sunday, September 29. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Newtown Pickleball Gift Fund, aimed at building new pickleball courts for the community.

Events and Activities for All Skill Levels

Participants can look forward to a variety of activities catering to both beginners and seasoned players. The beginners’ clinic, which focuses on the fundamentals of the game, has an entry fee of $25. For those looking for a competitive edge, the River Run tournament invites players to register for $40 each.

After the tournament, attendees can enjoy open play free of charge, providing an excellent opportunity for players to put their skills to the test in a casual setting. Additionally, attendees can participate in the raffle with tickets priced at $5 each or five for $20, with exciting prizes up for grabs.

Support and Sponsorship Opportunities

Local businesses have a unique chance to get involved through various sponsorship opportunities. Packages are available at different levels, ranging from $50 to $1,000, allowing businesses to show their support for the growth of pickleball in Newtown.

A signature banner will be available for community members to sign, showing their commitment to the development of new courts. Food lovers can also look forward to delicious offerings from The Stack Mobile food truck, which will be on-site throughout the day.
