Melissa Hoover, Chair of the In The Pink initiative, emphasized the significance of the fundraiser: “The Women’s Committee raises money for all kinds of different Women’s Health Initiatives at Martha Jefferson. Including Marianne’s room, which provides all kinds of emotional support and wigs and prostheses and that kind of thing for women undergoing their cancer treatment.”
