New Pickleball Courts in Mansfield Celebrated as a Step Forward for Recreation

New Pickleball Courts in Mansfield: The town of Mansfield recently came together to celebrate a significant addition to its recreational facilities: the Michael Taylor & Family Pickleball Courts. Friends, neighbors, and community members gathered at the new pickleball courts situated behind the Mansfield Community Center, next to the playground, to mark this exciting occasion.

The celebration featured speeches from key stakeholders, town staff, and local government officials, all expressing their enthusiasm for the project. The event ended in a ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by the ceremonial first serve, symbolizing the official opening of the courts to the public.

Completion of Key Features

The six courts, which officially opened on July 19, are now fully accessible, with a railing along the ramp that was installed on September 16, meeting all ADA requirements. Additionally, plans are in place for enhanced pickleball court lighting, expected to be completed later this fall, further improving the facilities for local pickleball enthusiasts.
