Crowley’s Pickleball Scene Is About to Get a Major Upgrade with Dill Dinkers

Crowley’s Pickleball Scene: Pickleball enthusiasts in Crowley have something to celebrate. The town’s first dedicated indoor pickleball court is set to open soon under the name Dill Dinkers. Located at 320 E. Main St., next to the trampoline park House of Air, this new facility will be a game-changer for local players looking to enjoy year-round action.

This marks the first Dill Dinkers location in North Texas, with the grand opening slated for October.

A Family-Friendly Pickleball Hub

Dill Dinkers, a family-oriented indoor pickleball club, will feature eight fenced-in courts, a reservation system, a pro shop, and even a ball machine. The facility also includes a private event space that can accommodate up to 20 people, offering a range of amenities for players of all ages and skill levels.

Will and Denise Richards, who founded Dill Dinkers in Columbia, Maryland, first opened their doors in November 2022. Since then, the company has grown rapidly, now operating six locations across Maryland and Virginia. In September 2023, Dill Dinkers launched a nationwide franchise program, paving the way for its expansion into Crowley.

(For clarity, there is no relation to Dinkers Pickleball Club in Denton. A “dink” refers to a controlled shot in pickleball.)

Expansive Offerings for Players

The new 21,000-square-foot Crowley location will offer more than just courts. Players can expect several leagues, clinics, and lessons aimed at improving their skills and fostering a sense of community. These lessons, typically running about two hours, include opportunities to play alongside pickleball pros in small groups of three.

The facility will also offer couples’ lessons, children’s lessons for groups of two to eight, and private group sessions. Open play, where anyone can join, will be available for $10.50. For frequent visitors, Dill Dinkers offers a monthly membership for $59 and an annual membership for $400.

Leadership and Vision

The Crowley franchise will be led by Justin Goehring, the Regional Developer for Dill Dinkers. Goehring brings a wealth of experience, having previously worked with Verizon and grown multiple retail locations in Pennsylvania. He later ventured into franchising, becoming the franchisor of Texas-based Bazooka Charlie’s Barber Company.

Goehring expressed his enthusiasm for Dill Dinkers’ Crowley launch, stating, “This club has been thoughtfully designed to create an environment where players of all ages and skill levels can come together and enjoy the game of pickleball. With its prime location and state-of-the-art amenities, I am confident that Dill Dinkers will become a welcoming and inclusive spot for the local pickleball community and those who are interested in learning more about this growing sport.
