Facility Overview
The Summit boasts a state-of-the-art indoor pickleball facility featuring six dedicated hard courts equipped with permanent nets.
Participants can enjoy two dinking warm-up kitchen areas and a lounge that includes two 70-inch TVs and beer/wine on tap. Situated in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains, the facility ensures that tournaments will proceed without weather interruptions, allowing for rain or shine play.
Tournament Structure and Schedule
The pickleball tournament is designed to maximize playtime and minimize downtime. All events will utilize a round robin format leading into bracket play. The schedule for the pickleball event is as follows:
- Friday, November 15th: Men’s and Women’s Singles
- Saturday, November 16th: Men’s and Women’s Doubles
- Sunday, November 17th: Mixed Doubles
Competition each day will commence as early as 8:00 AM. Specific start times will be posted and emailed to participants approximately one week before the event.
Registration and Fees
The registration fee is set at $40, with each additional event costing $15. As registration progresses, tournament management reserves the right to combine brackets if necessary to create playable groups. Awards will be based on the original division in cases of bracket combinations.
Competitors can participate in skill levels categorized as 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5+, with age groups of 12+ and 50+. Teams must compete at the skill level of the higher-rated player and the age group of the younger player, with age calculated as of December 31, 2024.
Partner Registration and Tournament Guidelines
Players may register with a partner or select the “Need partner” option. Partners must register within five days to avoid being moved to the waitlist. A player’s participation in the tournament is not guaranteed until their partner has registered, and all fees are fully paid.
Matches will be self-monitored, with no referees present. Requests for referees will be accommodated if possible.
Additional Information
All brackets with four or more teams will feature round-robin play followed by medal rounds. The Summit has partnered with Graystone Lodge and La Quinta Inn to provide discounted rates for participants.
