Grand Day for Pickleball in Slidell: On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, Slidell Mayor Greg Cromer, alongside members of the Slidell City Council and other local officials, celebrated the grand opening of the much-anticipated Slidell Pickleball Courts at John Slidell Park. This exciting event brought together city leaders and community members to witness the opening of a new recreational facility that promises to enhance the city’s vibrant sports culture.

Investment in Recreation

The project, featuring 12 state-of-the-art pickleball courts, was started through a collaboration between Kyle & Associates, who designed the facility, and Cobalt Construction, Inc., which handled the construction.

The total investment in the project amounted to $1,049,520, reflecting the city’s dedication to improving its recreational infrastructure.

Mayor Cromer expressed enthusiasm about the new pickleball facility, stating,

“We are excited to bring this new recreational facility to Slidell. These pickleball courts are a great addition to our city, and we are thrilled to provide a fun and healthy activity for our residents of all ages.
