Vegas Host Pickleball Tournament: In a tribute to a beloved canine, a local animal rescue organization is organizing a pickleball tournament next month dedicated to Reba the Bulldog. Reba’s tragic story attracted the community and went viral on social media after she was discovered left to die in a taped-shut plastic tub in July.
Event Details and Support for Rescue Efforts
The Vegas Pet Rescue Project announced on Sunday that, in collaboration with the Red Rock Country Club, they will host the “Justice For Reba Pickleball Tournament” on Sunday, November 23. The shelter shared this news through a heartfelt post on their Facebook page, stating that the event is “in remembrance of Reba the Bulldog.” Proceeds from this important event will directly benefit the rescue, supporting their ongoing efforts to protect and rehabilitate animals in need.
A Fun-Filled Event for All
The tournament promises to be an exciting evening filled with activities beyond the pickleball matches themselves. Attendees can look forward to test drives from Tesla, tastings of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, and opportunities to win special items and vacation packages through raffle and silent auctions. Scheduled to run from 5 to 9 p.m., the event is co-ed and welcomes participants of all genders to join in the fun.
Justice Still to Be Served
As the community comes together to celebrate Reba’s legacy, the search for justice continues. The Metropolitan Police Department is actively seeking the suspects connected to Reba’s untimely death and is offering a substantial $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Earlier this month, the department released a video depicting two individuals taking a bin from a Kia Forte and leaving it near a dumpster, furthering their investigation.
