Pickleball 4 Parkinson’s Tournament Starts for a Life-Saving Cause in Lebanon

The Pickleball 4 Parkinson’s tournament is set for December 7, 2024, at the Farmers Bank Fieldhouse in Lebanon, Indiana. This one-day, mixed-only tournament welcomes players of various skill levels—3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0+—divided by age categories of above and below 50. Registration opens on September 25, 2024, at 8:00 AM PST, and will remain open until November 27, 2024, at midnight (PST). The cost to enter is $70, all proceeds benefiting the Indiana Parkinson Foundation.

Fundraising Opportunity

Players can enter the pickleball tournament for just $10 by participating in a fundraising initiative. Upon registering, participants can create a fundraising page and encourage friends and family to contribute to this worthy cause.

For every $100 raised, players will receive a $20 refund, up to a maximum of $60. This initiative not only reduces the entry cost but also amplifies the support for Parkinson’s awareness and research.

Tournament Format and Details

This pickleball tournament will utilize a round-robin format leading into elimination play, with each team guaranteed six games. However, depending on the number of registered teams, not all teams may advance to the single-elimination rounds. The tournament will use Franklin X-40 balls on 12 dedicated indoor pickleball courts, featuring a tennis surface and permanent nets.
