Murrieta Aims to Boost Pickleball Facilities, Community Invited to Shape New Pickleball Court Design

Murrieta Aims to Boost Pickleball Facilities: In a move that shows its commitment to community engagement, the city of Murrieta is seeking the opinions of local pickleball players as it embarks on an exciting project to expand the sport’s presence in the area. For those passionate about the game, this presents an opportunity for them to make their voices heard.

New Pickleball Courts at Alderwood Park

Currently, the city is in the design phase for two new courts at Alderwood Park, as part of a broader capital improvement initiative. This project is supported by a $40,000 budget, aiming to enhance recreational facilities for the growing pickleball community. The city officials have articulated a clear vision: to maximize the number of courts while adhering to budgetary constraints.

“The Murrieta community has been calling for access to dedicated pickleball courts throughout the city.” officials noted on the city’s website, emphasizing the increasing demand for such pickleball facilities. The design process commenced in July, with the ambitious goal of expanding Alderwood Park’s court offerings to a total of six.
