Pickleball Fundraiser Success at Eldredge Park for Families in Need

Pickleball Fundraiser Success at Eldredge Park: On October 14, Eldredge Park transformed into a hub of energy as pickleball players gathered for a fundraising tournament benefiting the Homeless Prevention Council. More than 50 pickleball players, united by their love for the sport and a desire to support their community, took part in the event, showing that pickleball is more than just a game—it’s a means to make a difference.

A Record-Breaking Effort

Jenna Moore, a representative of the Homeless Prevention Council, expressed her excitement about the event’s success. The funds collected will support the non-profit’s annual Adopt-a-Family program, which has been a cornerstone of holiday support for families in need.

Adopt-a-Family: A Lifeline for Those in Need

Launched 29 years ago, the Adopt-a-Family initiative invites community members to sponsor families by purchasing gifts and essential items during the holiday season. The program has made a significant impact over the years, providing assistance to more than 5,000 children since its inception.

More Opportunities to Play and Support

The momentum from the tournament continued with two additional pickleball events held that same weekend in Wellfleet, designed to further support the Adopt-a-Family program.

Looking ahead, another pickleball tournament is scheduled to take place in Chatham on November 2, offering yet another opportunity for the community to come together and support this vital initiative.
