Bryant Unveils 1st Christmas Pickleball Celebration: Features Fun for All

Bryant Unveils 1st Christmas Pickleball Celebration: The inaugural Campbell Christmas in the Park event in Bryant is set to take place on Saturday, December 14th, at Mills Park. This festive gathering promises to be a highlight of the holiday season, offering residents a chance to celebrate with a variety of activities, including a pickleball tournament, a fun run, and a special appearance by Santa Claus.

Bryant Mayor Chris Treat emphasized the community’s desire for a family-friendly holiday event, stating, “For years, residents have been asking for a family-friendly, annual Christmas event, and Mills Park is the best location for it. We are so excited to partner with Campbell Chrysler Dodge Jeep and the Bryant Youth Association to make this event happen.” A portion of the proceeds will support the Bryant Youth Association.

Event Schedule

  • 1 p.m.Pickleball Tournament begins
  • 3 p.m. – Public celebration starts
  • 4 p.m. – Fun Run commences

Exciting Activities for All

The Pickleball Tournament will take place at the Joyce Boswell Courts within Mills Park, featuring both a competitive league and a family/beginners league. Registration for teams is set at $50, which includes a commemorative t-shirt. Participants can sign up for the tournament by visiting the City of Bryant’s website and clicking on “Program Registration,” followed by selecting one of the two “Christmas in the Park” options.

In addition to pickleball, the event will host a Family Fun Run at 4:00 p.m., with registration fees of $25 for adults and $20 for children aged 10 and under. Each registration includes a t-shirt. Links for registration will be available on the City of Bryant’s website during the first full week of November.

The community celebration will run from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., featuring Santa for photos, Christmas music performed by local school and church groups, and storytime hosted by the Saline County Library. Attendees can also enjoy food trucks and craft activities while Mills Park is adorned with festive decorations for the holiday season.

Sponsorship Opportunities Available

The City of Bryant is seeking local businesses to sponsor this festive event. Sponsorship levels range from $250 to $1,000, with funds directed towards decorating the park. Businesses may also consider in-kind sponsorship by donating gently used Christmas decorations.
