Other Racquet Social Club Expands Accessibility

The Other Racquet Social Club in East Austin, originally launched as a luxury members-only venue, has reopened its doors on Manor Road as of November 1, adopting a model designed to welcome a broader audience. Now, players can enjoy Bill’s legendary burgers from the newly introduced food truck, Bill’s Dips, without needing a reservation for pickleball. As part of this transformation, the bar will serve unique cocktails inspired by the sport, including “The Sunset Slice.” Reservations for the courts can be made through their website, with a one-time fee of $25 and an hourly rate of $40, according to MySA.

The Picklr Expands Across Austin and Round Rock

In a notable expansion, The Picklr is establishing a presence across Austin and Round Rock, with plans to introduce five new locations in these areas over the next eighteen months, as reported by CultureMap Austin. The Austin facility is set to feature an impressive 39,000-square-foot space equipped with 11 indoor courts. Meanwhile, the Round Rock location will be slightly smaller, showcasing eight courts tailored to accommodate the thriving pickleball community.

Texas Pickleball Hall and Regional Facilities Flourish

Another significant development is the Texas Pickleball Hall, located just outside San Antonio in Live Oak, which now boasts 12 indoor courts. This facility complements a growing roster of regional venues, including Laird’s Hideaway RV Park in Canyon Lake, which has recently added seven new courts. Additionally, the Court House in New Braunfels is on the verge of introducing further entertainment and sporting options to the Solms Landing area, as noted by MySA.
