Hermitage’s 1.2 Million Dollars Pickleball Investment: The city of Hermitage has been awarded a substantial $1.2 million in funding aimed at enhancing its recreational facilities. This investment will facilitate the construction of nine state-of-the-art pickleball courts and improve parking and pedestrian accessibility at the Hermitage Athletic Complex.

Funding Overview

The financial support comes through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program, which is overseen by the Office of the Budget. This program is dedicated to the design, acquisition, and construction of projects that foster regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical development.

In addition to the pickleball courts, the funding package includes $250,000 earmarked for Thiel College, which will be used for the renovation and expansion of the Thiel College Academic Center.

State Representative Parke Wentling, a Republican representing the 7th District, expressed optimism about the impact of this funding on the community.
