Trinity UMC Charity Pickleball Tournament: The annual Trinity United Methodist Church (UMC) Charity Pickleball Tournament is set to take place from January 17 to January 19, 2025, in Gainesville, Florida. This exciting event offers pickleball players of all skill levels an opportunity to compete in a friendly, yet competitive environment while supporting a worthy cause. The funds raised will directly benefit Trinity United Methodist Church’s outreach programs, which serve the local community and beyond.

Registration Details and Pricing

Registration for the pickleball tournament opened on October 23, 2024, and will remain open until January 7, 2025. Early registrants can take advantage of the discounted entry fee of $50, which increases to $60 starting November 11 and to $70 starting December 29.

The registration fee covers one event, with each additional event costing $10. For those interested in the Moneyball event, an additional $45 fee applies.

Moneyball will be a double-elimination bracket. All games are won by two points, and each team must play at the skill level of the higher-rated player or higher.

Prizes and Awards

Medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each event, and all participants will receive a dri-fit t-shirt as a memento of their involvement. For the Moneyball event, prize money will be awarded to the top three teams: $600 for first place, $300 for second, and $150 for third.

Corporate sponsorships are available, providing an additional opportunity for businesses to get involved and support the church’s mission.
