Tempe Welcomes Electric Pickle: Electric Pickle is preparing to make a splash in Tempe this December, globally inspired cuisine, and outdoor fun. Set on a sprawling 4.5-acre site, this new flagship venue is designed for sports enthusiasts, food lovers, and anyone seeking a dynamic atmosphere to unwind.
The Vision Behind Electric Pickle
Located near I-10 and Warner Road, Electric Pickle is the brainchild of Eureka! Restaurant Group and Knighthead Capital Management. Its mission is clear: blend the excitement of pickleball with upscale amenities, creating a space where every visit feels like a celebration.
“Pickleball has taken this country by storm, and with Electric Pickle, we’re aiming to elevate the experience further,” said Founder and CEO Paul Frederick. “We’re blending our love for the fast-paced, action-packed game with our passion for delivering upscale culinary offerings in a vibrant and social atmosphere.”
State-of-the-Art Facilities & Design
The venue will feature nine cutting-edge pickleball courts, including four covered courts for year-round play, each complete with private cabanas for added comfort. Electric Pickle’s bold design, brought to life by Brick & West, transports players and diners into a lush, green oasis. Alongside the courts, visitors can enjoy Full Swing Golf Simulators, bocce ball courts, ping-pong tables, and a performance stage on an expansive lawn.
“It’s all about creating the ultimate ‘vacation in your hometown’ vibe,” Frederick explained. “Tempe’s energy inspired us, and we want Electric Pickle to be where guests discover their new favorite DJ, unwind, and let loose in style.”
A Culinary Experience Like No Other
Electric Pickle’s centerpiece is its two-story, 12,000-square-foot restaurant. The menu promises to be as exciting as the atmosphere, with elevated bites like sticky short ribs glazed with tangy Korean BBQ sauce, truffle bacon mashed potato pizza, and garlic noodles with shrimp. For dessert, the four-layer carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and walnuts is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.
“From pickleball matches to electrifying bites and laid-back hangouts, we’re building a spot where high-energy fun and memorable moments happen naturally,” Frederick said. “We can’t wait to host events that bring people together for celebrations, connections, and truly unique experiences.”
Tech Meets Pickleball
One standout feature of Electric Pickle is its integration of AI technology into the courts. This will offer players detailed gameplay analysis, helping to elevate the pickleball experience. Knighthead Capital Management, which has been increasingly active in the pickleball scene, recently teamed up with NFL legend Tom Brady to acquire the Las Vegas Night Owls in the Major League Pickleball league.
Ambitious Plans for Expansion
Electric Pickle is set on expanding its footprint across the nation, with new venues scheduled for Nevada, Texas, and California in the near future.
