Centre Street Pickleball Club Opens Doors to New Members

Centre Street Pickleball Club: James Fraser, known affectionately as “The Godfather” of Centre Street Pickleball Club (CSPC), kicked off the club’s official launch with an enthusiastic update, proudly announcing that 85 new members had joined in just over a month. The club, which is operating as a division of the Niagara Indoor Pickleball Association (NIPA), is committed to providing a fun and inclusive atmosphere for pickleball players of all levels. As a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers, the Centre Street Pickleball Club’s mission is to make the sport more accessible, enjoyable, and affordable for everyone in the community.

Creating a Welcoming Environment

To celebrate its opening, volunteers transformed one of the classrooms into a lively, pickleball-themed gathering space. Blackboards were filled with catchy pickleball phrases, while bulletin boards were adorned with humorous pickleball-related jokes.

Members contributed a variety of delicious treats, creating a festive atmosphere that perfectly aligned with the pickleball club’s culture—fun, social, and welcoming.

State-of-the-Art Facilities

The club’s facility features two indoor pickleball courts, providing ample space for play. In addition to the courts, the venue includes a stage where players can relax and watch ongoing games during their downtime.

Centre Street Pickleball Club offers a range of services for members, including private court rentals, “intro to pickleball” lessons for newcomers, and social events designed to foster camaraderie among players.

James Fraser’s Personal Touch

James Fraser, who is deeply committed to growing the sport, leads several weekly “skills and drills” sessions aimed at improving player skills while building interest in the sport. His personal involvement in the club is a key factor in creating a positive and encouraging environment.

“My mission is to make pickleball more accessible, fun, and affordable for pickleball enthusiasts,” James said with a warm smile, reinforcing his dedication to expanding the sport’s reach and creating a strong, inclusive community.
