Women’s Doubles Team Wins Against Desert Mountain
On October 25, the Rio Verde Women’s Doubles Team secured a narrow but crucial victory against Desert Mountain, winning 5 games to 4.
The team, featuring Dru Renschler and Martha Nause, Trish Meyer and Joyce Rockwell, along with Vanessa Seljeskog and Dawn Meadows, fought hard to bring home the win. Substitute player Mary Wagner also contributed to the team’s success.
Mixed Doubles Team Closes Out Desert Mountain at Home
The Rio Verde Mixed Doubles Team faced off against Desert Mountain at home on October 31. It was another tight match, but Rio Verde emerged victorious once again, clinching a 5-4 win.
The players on the court were Jan and Tyler Allison, Martha Nause and Scott Johnson, as well as Trish Meyer and Joe Zajac. Dru Renschler and Marty Teigen stepped in as substitutes, adding to the depth and versatility of the squad.
Women’s Team Earns First Win Against FireRock Country Club
Rio Verde’s Women’s team also earned their first win in the league, defeating FireRock Country Club in Fountain Hills.
The dynamic pairings of Martha Nause and Karen Breslo, Dawn Meadows and Vanessa Seljeskog, and Kris Johnson and Joyce Rockwell were instrumental in securing the victory.
