Pickleball players will gather this spring for the 2025 Cabin Fever Tournament, scheduled from April 15 to April 17 at the J. Bryan Floyd Community Center in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. With an exciting lineup of singles and doubles events, this non-sanctioned pickleball tournament offers players a competitive and enjoyable experience while supporting the future of the local pickleball community.
Tournament Format and Schedule
The Cabin Fever Tournament will follow a round robin format, ensuring that participants play at least four games per event. Competitions are divided into three skill-based brackets: 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 & Above. The event schedule includes Men’s Doubles and Women’s Singles on April 15, Mixed Doubles on April 16, and Women’s Doubles and Men’s Singles on April 17.
Start times for matches will be announced approximately 4–5 days before the tournament. Due to the limited availability of six courts, organizers will cap registration numbers and add age splits to brackets if demand increases.
Player Ratings and Registration
The tournament will use DUPR ratings for player registration. If a player does not have a DUPR rating, their Pickleball Brackets self-rating will be used. Participants are allowed to “play up” into higher skill brackets but are restricted from playing down. Teams must register under the higher-rated player’s skill level.
Registration costs $60, with a price increase to $70 starting March 1. The entry fee includes access to the hospitality room, which will provide food and water for players and volunteers. Raffle prizes will also be available throughout the event.
Supporting a Growing Pickleball Community
Proceeds from the tournament will go toward enhancing amenities for the upcoming North Myrtle Beach Pickleball Complex, which is set to feature 15 state-of-the-art outdoor courts. The facility is expected to open in late 2025 and will serve as a premier destination for recreational play and competitive events in the Grand Strand area.
Refund Policy and Key Dates
Participants withdrawing before April 1 will receive a full refund, with partial refunds available for withdrawals made by April 8. After this date, refunds will not be issued. Additionally, event service fees charged by Pickleball Brackets are non-refundable.
