Ace Pickleball Club Launches in Illinois, Expanding Nationwide Reach

Ace Pickleball Club Launches in Illinois: Ace Pickleball Club is set to make its mark in Des Plaines, Illinois, with the grand opening of its first location in the state on Monday, November 25. This pickleball facility, occupying the former Walmart Neighborhood Market space at 727 W. Golf Road, is poised to offer pickleball players a top-tier venue featuring 13 professional-graded cushioned courts. It marks another step in the franchise’s rapid expansion across the nation.

Founded by James Baraglia, an Oak Park native and avid pickleball player, Ace Pickleball Club has grown into a well-established name, with 12 locations already in operation across the United States.

Des Plaines will be the first of many Illinois locations for the franchise, with plans for three more clubs, including one in Vernon Hills, to open later this year. Baraglia’s vision was clear from the start: to offer a dedicated space for pickleball in regions where the sport’s popularity was outpacing the availability of courts.

Filling a Void in the Chicago Area

“Pickleball has quickly become one of the most popular sports in the world, and I realized that people in the Chicago-land area were missing out on its popularity due to a lack of courts. I couldn’t be more excited to bring Ace Pickleball Club to Des Plaines and give community members the opportunity to play whenever they want — whether it’s warm or cold, rain or shine.” – (Baraglia)

The facility aims to provide an environment where members can enjoy the sport year-round, regardless of weather conditions. The indoor courts will allow for recreational and competitive play, catering to a wide range of skill levels.

As with other Ace locations, the club will offer a flat monthly membership fee, allowing for unlimited access to the courts during operating hours. This pricing model is designed to make pickleball accessible to more players, without the constraints of pay-per-play or reservation fees.

More Than Just Courts

In addition to open play, the Des Plaines location will host various pickleball events throughout the year. Clinics, tournaments, and social gatherings will offer members the opportunity to improve their skills, compete in friendly competitions, and connect with others in the community.

As pickleball continues to rise in popularity, Ace Pickleball Club is positioning itself as a central hub for players of all ages and skill levels.

With its modern facilities and flexible membership structure, Ace Pickleball Club aims to serve as a key player in the growth of pickleball in Chicago and beyond. The upcoming grand opening promises to be just the beginning for this rapidly expanding franchise.
