Philly Welcomes Boutique Pickleball Experience That Redefines Sports Scene

Philly Welcomes Boutique Pickleball Experience: Court 16, New York’s premier private tennis and pickleball club, is expanding into Pennsylvania with a state-of-the-art facility in Philadelphia’s South Kensington neighborhood. Located at 1400 N. Howard Street, the 14,000-square-foot indoor club promises to blend athletic excellence with community engagement. Situated near the vibrant Fishtown district, the club joins the portfolio of Asana Partners, a developer renowned for creating dynamic spaces in urban neighborhoods.

A Space for All Ages

The Philadelphia location will mark Court 16’s fifth boutique club and its first outside New York. Designed to welcome children, adults, and families, the facility will feature four distinct USTA-sanctioned courts, offering a unique range of playing surfaces and sizes. The club’s programming is equally diverse, with year-round camps and lessons for all skill levels, emphasizing inclusivity and growth in the sport.

More Than Just a Club

Beyond tennis and pickleball, Court 16 aims to serve as a community hub. Its design supports a wide range of social events, from birthday parties to corporate gatherings, creating a space where people can connect beyond the game.

Rooted in Passion and Vision

Founded in 2014 by Anthony Evrard, a former NCAA Division I athlete and nationally ranked junior tennis player, Court 16 carries a personal legacy. The club’s name pays homage to Evrard’s early days learning tennis on a Brussels court with his grandfather.

He praised Asana Partners for their commitment to creating engaging destinations and expressed excitement about integrating the club with the local culture, rich in arts, music, and dining.

“Asana Partners is known for creating experiential destinations in vibrant neighborhoods, and we’re excited to expand into Pennsylvania at one of their properties. The area’s dynamic arts, music, and dining scene perfectly aligns with our vision for an inclusive tennis space where everyone can connect, learn, and share a love for the game. We look forward to becoming part of this community and bringing a fresh approach to tennis that fully integrates with the local culture.” – (Evrard)
