Tournament Format and Events
This pickleball tournament will follow a round-robin format, with the top teams advancing to playoffs for gold, silver, and bronze medals. Players will compete in different events, including Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. Age and skill brackets will be determined after the registration deadline, with skill levels ranging from 3.0 to 4.5 and above.
- Friday-Saturday: Men’s Doubles / Women’s Doubles
- Sunday: Mixed Doubles
The skill levels will include 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, and higher. Depending on registration numbers, the director may combine or adjust age and skill brackets.
Event and Pool Play Details
- Round-robin Format:
- Brackets of 3: Double round robin, each match to 15.
- Brackets of 4: Round robin, each match best of 2 out of 3 games to 11.
- Brackets of 5-7: Round robin, each match to 15.
- Pool Play:
- If an event has 8 or more teams, it may be divided into two pools.
- The top two teams from each pool advance to a shootout:
- The top team from Pool 1 plays second from Pool 2.
- The top team from Pool 2 plays second from Pool 1.
- The winning teams will face off for Gold/Silver, and the losers will compete for Bronze.
The tournament director may adjust or combine brackets as needed based on participation.
