Giving Back to the Community

In keeping with the holiday spirit, the organizers of the Dink the Halls tournament have partnered with Reisel Rackets to donate a portion of the event’s proceeds to Philabundance, a well-known food bank serving the Philadelphia area.

The non-profit’s mission is to end hunger in local communities, and it supports residents in five counties in Pennsylvania and four in New Jersey.

The tournament is calling on participants and attendees to bring canned goods and non-perishable food items for donation to the holiday food drive.

With many families in need during this time of year, the added element of giving back gives the tournament a deeper sense of purpose, beyond just winning on the court.

Holiday Fun and Festive Vibes

In addition to the competition, Dink the Halls will also feature fun and light-hearted festivities. Tournament participants are encouraged to wear their festive holiday shirts.

The event will host a shirt competition, with prizes awarded in three categories: ugliest, most creative, and most festive. Voting will take place at the sign-in desk, with winners announced shortly after. It’s just one more way to keep the holiday spirit alive amid the serious competition.

Additionally, vendors and food trucks will be on hand to keep players and spectators fueled throughout the weekend, making for a true community event with something for everyone.

Tournament Logistics and Refund Policies

Registration for Dink the Halls opens on October 17th, 2024, at 10:00 AM EST and closes on December 1st, 2024. The entry fee for the tournament is $65, with a refund policy in place for cancellations made before November 7th, 2024.

After this deadline, refunds will be subject to a $25 processing fee, with no refunds granted after November 30th, 2024. The tournament director reserves the right to combine brackets based on age or skill level, though refunds will be issued in cases where no suitable bracket combination is possible.
