Norwell Welcomes Boston Pickle Club’s Elite New Facility

Norwell Welcomes Boston Pickle Club’s Elite: Norwell and the South Shore community are set to welcome the second facility of the Boston Pickle Club, a membership-based indoor pickleball center emphasizing inclusiveness, community, and instruction. Slated to open in early December at 77 Accord Park Drive, the 28,000-square-foot facility offers ten premium indoor courts, 18-foot ceilings, optimized lighting, and court surfaces matching those used in professional tournaments like the Carvana and PPA Tours.

This venture is led by co-founders Johan du Randt and Stephen Mitchell, both accomplished racquet sports professionals, alongside fintech entrepreneur Steven Hauck. Their mission is to create a network of premium clubs catering to pickleball enthusiasts across Eastern New England.

Membership and Community Growth

The new Norwell facility has already attracted nearly 500 members, with expectations to surpass 600 at its launch. Current members have access to the Hyde Park location and will soon enjoy dual facility privileges. According to Johan du Randt, the Norwell facility will accommodate both seasoned players seeking competition and newcomers looking to enjoy the sport in a supportive environment.

Key membership benefits include:

  • Advanced court bookings and contract court time.
  • Exclusive league play and club championships.
  • Access to private lessons with experienced professionals.
  • Invitations to member-only events and round robins.

Programming for All Levels

Boston Pickle Club’s programming is designed to engage players of all ages and skill levels. Offerings include:

  • DUPR Open Play, providing level-based opportunities.
  • Clinics and private lessons to develop skills.
  • After-school classes for juniors aged 5 to 14+.
  • League play for competitive enthusiasts.

Additionally, members can participate in tournaments, junior summer camps, and special events, further enhancing the club’s vibrant community.

Anticipation for December Launch

Steven Hauck, co-founder, expressed his excitement for the new facility: “We are thrilled to open in Norwell. The community’s support has been phenomenal, and we look forward to fostering a space that promotes health, fitness, and inclusivity for all levels of play.”

The Boston Pickle Club aims to bridge the gap between recreational and professional pickleball, setting a new standard for the sport in the region.
