The 2025 Winter More Bang for the Buck Pickleball Tournament is set to take place from January 3-5 at Frontier Family Park in Queen Creek, Arizona. Tournament Schedule and Events
The pickleball tournament will begin on Friday, January 3, with Women’s Doubles and Men’s Singles events. Saturday, January 4, will feature Mixed Doubles, followed by Men’s Doubles and Women’s Singles on Sunday, January 5. The event will follow a round-robin format, with playoffs determining the top winners in each division.
The tournament will be played on 24 individually fenced courts, ensuring ample space for all matches. All participants are encouraged to register early, as the event offers discounts for players 50 and older, as well as players under 18.
Registration and Fees
Registration opens on November 29, 2024, and ends on December 31, 2024. The early registration fee is $45, with prices rising to $60 after December 16. Late registration begins on January 1, 2025, with fees increasing to $75. Additional event fees apply: doubles events are $15 each, while singles events cost $25 each.
Players who have not found a partner within 14 days of registration will be moved to the waitlist until a partner is found.
Tournament Format and Rules
The pickleball tournament will feature a round robin format for all divisions, with the top teams advancing to the playoffs. For pools with 4-6 teams, games will be played to 15 points, win by 2. For pools with 7-9 teams, games will be played to 11 points, win by 2. All lead-in games to the playoffs will be played to 15 points, win by 2.
Gold matches will be either a best-of-3 to 11 points, win by 2, or a single game to 15 points, win by 2. Bronze matches will be played to 15 points, win by 2.
Refund Policy and Additional Information
The event has a strict refund policy. Cancellations before January 1, 2025, will incur a $15 fee, while cancellations after that date will only receive a 50% refund. In the event of weather-related cancellations, up to a 50% refund may be issued. The Franklin X-40 ball will be used for all matches.
