Best of The Midwest High Roller Pickleball Tournament is set to take place on August 16-17, 2024, at Kati Wanek-Forsythe Courts in Arcadia, Wisconsin. This exciting event promises high stakes and competitive play for all skill levels, with significant cash prizes on the line. Participants will compete in three divisions: Women’s Doubles, Men’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles.
Tournament Format and Structure
This year’s pickleball tournament will feature a double-elimination bracket format. Teams will first play 4 preliminary pool games to determine seeding, followed by placement into the final double-elimination bracket based on their pool play performance.
All matches in pool play and elimination rounds, will be single games played to 11 points, win by 2. Each team will play a minimum of six games, ensuring plenty of action throughout the weekend.
Cash Prizes and Payouts
The tournament will offer significant cash payouts for the top finishers, with the prize pool split among the top six teams. Payouts include:
- 1st Place: $1,000
- 2nd Place: $600
- 3rd Place: $400
- 4th Place: $200
- 5th Place: $100
- 6th Place: $100
In each division, at least 12 teams are required to receive the full payout. The tournament will also utilize the SWISH app to instantly upload all match scores to DUPR.
Venue and Equipment
The Kati Wanek-Forsythe Courts in Arcadia will serve as the venue for the pickleball event. The courts feature a hardcourt surface for outdoor play with permanent and portable nets. The Franklin X-40 ball will be used for all matches. With eight courts available, the event is designed to accommodate a large number of players and spectators.
Registration and Cancellation Policy
Registration for the tournament is priced at $100 per player, with teams required to register and pay together. The registration period will remain open until August 13, 2024, with a full refund (minus a $5 processing fee) available for withdrawals before that date. After the deadline, no refunds will be issued unless the event is canceled due to inclement weather conditions.
