Pickleball on the Moon 2025 Tournament—A Chance to Compete for a Cause

The Pickleball on the Moon 2025 Tournament is set to take place on May 3 and 4, 2025, at the Sandra Moon Community Complex in Huntsville, AL. Organized by the Huntsville Pickleball Club in collaboration with the Huntsville Hospital Breast Center, this annual event combines competitive play with a heartfelt cause, raising funds for the Breast Cancer Patient Assistance Fund to support cancer patients across North Alabama.

A Weekend of Competition and Community

The tournament will kick off with an Opening Celebration Party on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Back Forty Brewing Company. The evening will include live music, pickleball mini-competitions, and opportunities to win prizes. Tournament play begins the next day with the following schedule:

  • Saturday, May 3: Gender Doubles
Check-in starts at 8:30 AM; play begins at 9:00 AM.
  • Sunday, May 4: Mixed Doubles
Check-in starts at 11:00 AM; play begins at 11:30 AM.

All matches will follow a round-robin format, guaranteeing each team a minimum of four games. Additional playoff brackets may be added depending on registration numbers.

Registration and Benefits

Participants can register for $45 until March 2, 2025, after which the fee increases to $50. Registration includes a free t-shirt for those who sign up by April 13, 2025. Late registrants can purchase a t-shirt for a $20 donation at the event. Proceeds from the tournament will directly benefit breast cancer patients, assisting with essential expenses during treatment.

Players must check in at least 30 minutes before their scheduled start time and adhere to guidelines, including restrictions on bright green or yellow attire.

Supporting a Worthy Cause

This event emphasizes fun and fundraising. The proceeds will aid patients in North Alabama by providing much-needed financial support during one of the most expensive cancer treatments. Participants and attendees are encouraged to bring their enthusiasm, flexibility, and community spirit to make a difference.

Venue and Logistics

The tournament will be held at the Sandra Moon Community Complex, with free parking available onsite.
