Keene Lions Pickleball Tournament Draws Top Pickleball Talent for Charity in 2025

Keene Lions Pickleball Tournament: The Keene Lions Foundation is hosting its 2025 Winter Pickleball Tournament on January 18 in Rindge, New Hampshire. This one-day event, set to take place at the Grimshaw Gudewicz Activity Center (known as “The Bubble”), combines competitive play with philanthropy. Proceeds from the tournament will fund local children’s attendance at diabetes camps and support eyesight screenings, showing the Lions’ commitment to community service.

Tournament Details and Format

The tournament offers multiple brackets tailored to different skill levels:

  • 3.0 Any Gender Doubles
  • 3.25 Men’s and Women’s Doubles
  • 3.5 Men’s and Women’s Doubles
  • 4.0 Any Gender Doubles

Players will compete in a round-robin format, facing every other team within their bracket. The top three teams in each division will receive medals based on their win-loss records. The registration fee is $45 per participant, with an additional $5 Pickleball Brackets fee. Registration opens on December 2, 2024, and closes on January 13, 2025.

Participants registering with a partner must ensure both registrations are completed within three days, or the incomplete registration will be moved to a waitlist. Tournament schedules, including start times, will be sent out a few days before the event.

Venue and Player Amenities

The Grimshaw Gudewicz Activity Center provides an indoor venue that ensures play continues regardless of weather conditions. Ample free parking is available, and players can find the facility easily by driving straight through the Franklin Pierce University campus.

While light snacks and water refill stations will be provided, participants should bring their equipment, food, and medical supplies. Only water is permitted inside the Bubble, but vending machines in the lobby offer additional options.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

The tournament will proceed as scheduled unless severe winter weather poses a safety risk. In the event of a cancellation, players will receive a refund minus a $10 processing fee. Refunds are also available until January 13, 2025, following the same fee deduction, with processing times of up to one week.
