Tournament Details
The pickleball event is divided into two age brackets: 50+ and 70+. Players will compete in a round-robin format, with playoffs for events having more than four teams. The schedule includes men’s and women’s doubles for the 70+ age group on January 22, followed by women’s doubles and mixed doubles for 70+ on January 23.
On January 24, the tournament will feature mixed doubles for the 50+ group, with men’s doubles for 50+ players concluding the tournament on January 25.
Registration and Fees
To participate, players must be 50 or older by December 31, 2025. The $40 registration fee covers all events, and each event costs an additional $25. Players must register online and submit payments and waivers before the tournament starts. Registration for a team is only complete once both players have registered and paid. If a team’s partner does not sign up within six hours, they will be moved to the waitlist.
Venue and Logistics
The tournament will take place at Morris K. Udall Park, located at 7290 E Tanque Verde Rd, Tucson, AZ. There is no parking fee, and players are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes before their scheduled event start time.
Play begins daily at 8:00 AM, with check-in opening at 7:00 AM. In case of rain delays, a makeup date is set for January 26, 2025.
Important Information
The tournament is not a qualifier for the National Senior Games. Players should be aware that the event may be subject to changes, with the tournament director having the right to combine or split events based on enrollment.
No refunds will be issued after January 12, 2025, unless the event is canceled or a player does not make it off the waitlist. There is a $5 administrative fee for refunds, and the PickleballBrackets.com service fee is non-refundable.
