The White Bear Lake Winter Whirl will take place on January 25, 2025, at LifeTime White Bear Lake in Minnesota. The event, featuring co-ed doubles pickleball, promises an exciting day for players and fans.
Tournament Details
The Winter Whirl will follow a Turbo-event format. Each pool play match will consist of 9 games, using rally scoring to 11 points. Afterward, all teams will qualify for a double-elimination bracket that is rally scoring to 15 points. The event will be split into three divisions: 3.0-3.49, 3.5-3.99, and 4.0+, with each division offering a chance to win Life Time Gift Cards. First-place teams in each division will share $250, second place will split $150, and third place will share $100.

- 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM: 3.0-3.49 Coed Doubles
- 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM: 3.5-3.99 Coed Doubles
- 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM: 4.0+ Coed Doubles
Registration Details
Players can register for the event starting December 6, 2024. Early registration costs $50 per event, but the price will increase to $60 after January 1, 2025. A $5 non-refundable service fee applies. Registration ends on January 22, 2025, at 5:00 PM CST.
Prize Pool and Rules
The prize pool for each division is based on full event capacity. If fewer than 10 teams register, the prize pool will be adjusted. Results from the tournament will be submitted to DUPR, so players should ensure their DUPR account is active.
Players are limited to one 1-minute timeout per game. Teams are asked to sign up according to their higher-rated partner’s DUPR rating. If a team is found to be in the wrong division, they may be moved.
Refund Policy
Players who need to withdraw must do so by 11:59 PM CST on January 14, 2025, for a full refund.
