Windy City Pickleball Showdown: Pickleball enthusiasts are gearing up for the NP Windy City Classic Powered by Onix, set to take place from June 18 to June 20, 2025, at Danny Cunniff Park in Highland Park, Illinois. This highly anticipated event will feature three days of intense competition, drawing players and fans from across the region.
The tournament kicks off on Friday with singles matches, followed by gender doubles on Saturday and mixed doubles on Sunday. Matches begin as early as 8 a.m. daily, although not all brackets start at that time.
Tournament Structure and Fees
Participants can register for $85 starting December 2, 2024, with the cost increasing to $95 on June 16, 2025. An additional $15 event fee and a $5–$10 service fee are also required. Bracket formats vary based on the number of teams, ensuring competitive play for all skill levels. DUPR ratings will determine player placements, and scores will be uploaded for ranking purposes.
In case of weather disruptions, National Pickleball will follow USAP-approved rules to decide placements or conclude brackets, prioritizing fairness and player safety.
