The 3rd Annual Fruit Cove Pickleball Classic will take place from February 20 to February 23, 2025, at the Fruit Cove Recreation Club in Saint Johns, Florida. The four-day pickleball event will feature singles, doubles, and Moneyball tournaments, promising exciting competition for players of all skill levels. Tournament Schedule
The tournament kicks off with the 45 and Over Moneyball event on Thursday, February 20, at 5:00 p.m. The singles competition will be held on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., followed by the 44 and Under Moneyball event at 5:00 p.m. On Saturday, the Men’s and Women’s Doubles events will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and the Mixed Doubles event will be held on Sunday, also from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The exact start times for each event will be posted the week of the tournament.
Registration and Fees
Registration for the tournament is $60 for Fruit Cove members, with an additional $20 fee for each extra event. The Moneyball events have a $100 registration fee per person. Players participating in additional events will need to pay a separate fee on the tournament day for the Moneyball portion of their registration. A $5 non-refundable fee per event is also charged by Pickleball Brackets, with a maximum of $10 for multiple events. Participants are reminded to ensure their partners register within two weeks to avoid being placed on a waiting list.
Supporting a Cause
The Fruit Cove Pickleball Classic will help fund TAB50, an initiative supporting high school and college students in gaining access to gym memberships and pickleball coaching. The tournament offers more than just competition, providing a chance to support the local community.
Venue and Amenities
The Fruit Cove Recreation Club, located at 1344 Roberts Road in Saint Johns, offers six courts with permanent nets. The main tournament will use Franklin X40 and Dura Fast 40 balls, while the Moneyball events will use Vulcan VPRO Flight balls. The club provides free parking and water refill stations for participants.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
Participants can receive a full refund minus a $25 cancellation fee if they withdraw before February 10, 2025. After this date, no refunds will be given for any reason. If a participant is waitlisted and does not get into an event, they will receive a full refund at the end of the tournament.
