The Green Valley Recreation Pickleball Club is proving it’s about more than paddles and courts. In early November, the club’s Social Committee launched a food drive campaign, seamlessly integrating it into their monthly social activity, “Dink and Dine.” For this occasion, the event was renamed “Dink, Dine and Food Drive,” and the initiative saw significant early success.
Extending the Drive
Recognizing the strong response from their members, the club decided to extend the campaign throughout November. Players brought food donations directly to the courts, emphasizing community spirit alongside their passion for the game.
Making an Impact
On December 3, the Green Valley Recreation Pickleball Club delivered 460 pounds of food and $520 in donations to the Green Valley Community Food Bank. The contributions reflect the club’s commitment to making a tangible difference in their community.
