The 3rd Annual OPC New Year’s Extravaganza will take place from December 28-29, 2024, at the Fieldhouse Sportscenter in Springfield, MO. This indoor pickleball event promises intense competition across multiple categories, catering to players of all levels. Registration is open until December 26, 2024, and spots are limited to 64 players.
Event Overview
The event is set to feature a wide range of exciting tournaments. Men’s and Women’s Doubles will kick off on Saturday, while Mixed Doubles and Junior Co-ed Scramble (for players aged 8-12) will take place on Sunday. The brackets will be divided by age and skill level, with categories for everyone from beginners to advanced players.
As with previous years, all brackets will follow a round-robin format, ensuring every player gets plenty of playtime. Some brackets may include additional playoff brackets depending on registration numbers. Players can expect a 4-game minimum for all events.
Venue and Facilities
This pickleball tournament will be hosted at the Fieldhouse Sportscenter, a premier indoor venue equipped with 12 courts, temporary nets, and Gamma Photon Neon Green Indoor balls. The facility offers free parking, snack bars, and clean restrooms, creating a comfortable environment for competitors and spectators.
Registration and Costs
Registration opens on November 7, 2024, at 8:00 AM CST, and closes on December 26, 2024, at 8:00 AM CST. The entry fee is $53.50, covering both events, with an additional non-refundable service fee of $1.50.
Players who register by December 10th will receive a free event shirt. The final registration deadline is December 26, 2024, at 8:00 AM CST.
Age and Skill Divisions
This pickleball tournament will feature age divisions including 8-49, 50+, 60+, 65+, 70+, and 80+ (scramble), with skill levels ranging from Beginner to High Advanced. Brackets will be organized based on the DUPR ratings, but players can also register according to their self-rating or PBB rating if they don’t have a DUPR rating.
Special Features
- USSP Certification: All 50+ events will be US Senior Pickleball (USSP) certified, giving participants the chance to earn points for USSP prizes. Players also receive discounts on entry fees by joining USSP for free with the code FREEMO.
- Open Play and Practice: There will be an open practice session on Friday, December 27th, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, for $5 per person (cash only).

Refund and Weather Policy
Withdrawals before the registration deadline will receive a full refund, minus the service fee. No refunds will be given for withdrawals after the deadline. Since the event is indoors, the weather will not affect play unless the venue is unable to host. If weather does cause a cancellation, refunds will only be issued for the affected event.
