Brooks’ Battle of the Paddles Brings Pickleball Fun with a Purpose

Pickleball players are gearing up for Brooks’ Battle of the Paddles, a charity tournament happening on March 1, 2025, at the Acworth Community Center in Acworth, Georgia. Organized by DAB Pickleball, the event invites players of all skill levels to enjoy friendly competition while raising funds for ARSACS research, a rare genetic disorder.

The event welcomes players in multiple categories, including singles, doubles, mixed doubles, and juniors. Early registration costs $30, with prices increasing closer to the event. Participants can register until February 20, 2025, and those signing up by February 14 receive a free tournament t-shirt.

A Fun and Supportive Atmosphere

Pickleball is a fast-growing sport known for its inclusive and fun nature. The tournament offers divisions for players ranging from beginners to intermediate levels (2.5 to 4.0). Categories include men’s doubles, women’s doubles, mixed doubles, and a special division for juniors.

Registration Details and Costs

Players can register early to take advantage of the $30 entry fee, with an additional $10 for each event entered. Juniors enjoy a flat $25 fee. Fees increase to $40 after December 24, 2024.

The event fee includes a free tournament t-shirt for those registering by February 14. All proceeds will go directly toward ARSACS research, helping advance the understanding and treatment of this rare disorder.

Tournament Venue and Amenities

The pickleball event will be held at the Acworth Community Center, featuring six indoor courts with air conditioning. The surface type is Sport Court, and Onix balls will be used. Parking is free for all participants and spectators.

Supporting ARSACS Research

ARSACS (Autosomal Recessive Spastic Ataxia of Charlevoix-Saguenay) is a rare neurodegenerative disorder. Proceeds from the tournament aim to contribute to ongoing research efforts to improve the lives of those affected by the condition.
