Lemieux, who has a personal connection to the facility, shared that one of the primary goals of the renovation was to keep hockey alive in Flint while expanding opportunities for other sports, such as pickleball, lacrosse, and baseball.
“The goal is to have a very cool place in Flint and just have an exciting place to come to.” – (Lemieux)
“The main intent we had when buying this place was to keep hockey alive in Flint. The business of hockey is very rough and very costly, so that’s why we’ve created these expanded opportunities for pickleball (and) built a turf field for lacrosse, baseball and other sports too.” – (Lemieux)
