Southern California’s Premier Pickleball Tournament: The Southern California Finals of the APBA Southern California State Championship Series will be held at the Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa, located at 2000 Glorietta Rd, Coronado, CA, from December 14 – 15, 2024. This prestigious tournament features competitive pickleball events, including singles, gender doubles, and mixed doubles, with a prize purse of $12,000. Participants can register as teams for a fee ranging from $75 to $150 per player. The tournament will be played on a dedicated outdoor sports court, with 12 courts available for action.
Event Details and Tournament Format
This event will take place over two days: Saturday will feature singles and gender doubles, while Sunday will show singles and mixed doubles. Players will compete in a Rotating Partner round-robin format, with set partner pool play followed by single elimination bracket matches. Medals will be awarded for 1st to 4th place in each event.
For brackets with fewer than 9 players/teams, all teams will move on to the quarterfinals. The losers in the quarterfinals will continue in a B-bracket playoff with medals up for grabs. For brackets with 9 or more participants, divisions may be split into upper and lower medal brackets, depending on player rankings.

Format

Age Guidelines
- 30 and over: May play in any younger bracket/class down to Age 18-29 groups
- 17 and under: May play in any older bracket/class up to Age 18-29 groups
Cancellation/Refund Policy
- Refunds are available for events canceled due to insufficient numbers or withdrawals more than 14 days before the tournament.
- Withdrawals within 7-14 days before the tournament will receive a credit to another APBA event.
- No refunds for withdrawals within 7 days of the event or due to weather conditions.
