The Omaha Amateur Open will be held on February 22-23, 2025, at the Midwest Pickleball Club in Papillion, Nebraska. This event is part of the Amateur Pickleball Association’s 2025 tour, the largest amateur player tour in the country, with nearly 150 tournaments planned. Open to players of skill levels 2.5 to 5.0, the tournament will feature a mix of doubles, mixed doubles, and singles matches.

Event Overview

The competition will follow a round-robin format, with participants playing at least six games before advancing to bracket play.

Players will be matched based on their skill level, with age divisions added when needed based on registration numbers. Singles matches will feature rally scoring to 21 points, while doubles games will be played to 11 points with a win-by-2 rule.

Registration Details

Early bird registration is available for $70 for the first event, $55 for the second, and $35 for a third event. Players can request a promo code for the third event by email.

The schedule will typically feature Doubles matches on Saturday starting at 8 a.m., Mixed Doubles on Sunday starting at 8 a.m., and Singles matches in the afternoon. The full schedule will be available the Wednesday before the event, with registration closing on the Tuesday prior.

PicklePerks for Players

In a new addition, all players will earn PicklePerks with each registration, valued at $5. Additional perks can be earned with each victory during the tournament. These rewards can be redeemed for tournament registrations or apparel throughout the year with the Amateur Pickleball Association.

Event Policies

All participants are required to wear court-approved shoes. There are no refunds once registration is submitted, but credit policies are outlined in the terms and conditions. As an indoor event, weather will not affect the competition.
