Pickleball in the Sun Hosts Successful Holiday Bash: Pickleball in the Sun hosted its annual Serving Up Hope: Pickleball in the Sun Holiday Bash on Sunday, December 8, at The Yards. The event gathered over 50 community members for a day filled with pickleball, holiday shopping, and fundraising efforts to support the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation.
Community Engagement and Fun
Attendees enjoyed various activities, including browsing sponsor booths, participating in a gift card drive, and entering raffle contests. All proceeds from the event aim to support local families facing the challenges of childhood cancer. The Jay Fund provides essential financial, emotional, and practical support to families, allowing them to focus on their child’s well-being during difficult times.
A Heartfelt Commitment
As the founder of Pickleball in the Sun and a proud Ambassador for the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation, I am honored to host this social event each year. It’s truly heartwarming to see our community rally together for such an incredible cause, and I look forward to growing this event in the years to come.” – (Laura Gainor)
Special Highlights
One of the highlights of the holiday bash was disclosing of custom Jay Fund pickleball paddles. These paddles featured unique artwork created by young friends of the organization—Liam, Finn, and Nash. This addition not only showed local talent but also connected the event’s participants with the mission of supporting children with cancer.
Making a Difference
The Serving Up Hope event is significant as it raises awareness and funds for families dealing with childhood cancer. Events like this not only foster community spirit but also provide vital resources for those in need. As the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund continues to grow, the hope is to expand support for more families, making a lasting impact on their lives.
