Dink House Opens in Largo: A New Hub for Indoor Pickleball Players

Dink House Opens in Largo: Dink House, a new indoor pickleball facility, has opened in Largo, transforming a former warehouse into a vibrant sports club. This 10,400-square-foot venue features four asphalt courts for players of all skill levels. Founded by former tennis professional Brandon Anandan, Dink House aims to provide a welcoming space for casual players and serious competitors to enjoy the sport.

From Tennis to Pickleball

Brandon Anandan, a former tennis professional and native of Brandon, has led the transformation of the 10,400-square-foot building located at 8116 Ulmerton Road. He explained the ease of transition from tennis to pickleball.

The transition from tennis to pickleball was easy. I found myself competing and winning tournaments. With the long wait times and people not playing properly and hurting themselves, I saw a need for a place like this.” – (Anandan)

After years of preparation, Anandan has finally opened Dink House, providing a space for pickleball enthusiasts to play and improve their skills.

Membership and Amenities

Dink House offers various membership options to suit different needs. An annual membership costs $199.99 per month and includes 24/7 access to the facility, unlimited open play, and exclusive event invitations.

A monthly membership is also available for $299.99, offering similar benefits without a guest pass. Non-members can drop in for $20 to play for up to five hours.

The facility also includes an outdoor gym with showers, a sauna, and a cold plunge spa set to open in January. Anandan is working with a manufacturer to create high-quality pickleball paddles, which will be available in a vending machine at the club.

Training and Events

Players looking to improve their game can book lessons with a full-time trainer, with sessions priced at $80 to $90. Dink House will also accommodate corporate events and parties. Special Olympics athletes will have designated free play slots, ensuring inclusivity in the pickleball community.

Looking Ahead

Although Dink House is now open, a grand opening event is planned for early January. Anandan has ambitious plans to expand the Dink House brand, aiming to open three to five more facilities in the local market. Members will also enjoy features like live-feed cameras to watch real-time games and check court availability.

With its unique offerings and commitment to quality, Dink House is ready to become a hub for pickleball players in Largo and beyond.
