Tulip City Open Pickleball Tournament in 2025 Promises Intense Matches and Big Rewards

The Tulip City Open Pickleball Tournament is set for May 2-4, 2025, at MVP Sports Holland in Holland, Michigan. This year marks the second edition of the event, which will benefit the Gateway Mission, a non-profit organization providing shelter and resources to those in need. Registration opens on September 6, 2024, and costs $55, with the tournament being DUPR-rated for the first time.

Tournament Details

The Tulip City Open promises to be an exciting event for pickleball players and community supporters. Participants will compete in Men’s and Women’s Singles, Gender Doubles, and Mixed Doubles across various skill ratings, from 3.0 to 4.5+, and age divisions of 10-34, 35-54, and 55+. All players are guaranteed at least five games during the tournament.

The event kicks off on Friday, May 2, with Men’s and Women’s Singles from 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM. On Saturday, May 3, Men’s and Women’s Gender Doubles will be played from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM. The tournament wraps up on Sunday, May 4, with Mixed Doubles from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM.

Tournament Structure and Participant Information

The organizers are focused on ensuring ample gameplay for every participant. If a division has fewer than three teams or singles players, age groups with the same rating may be combined.

In some cases, teams may be moved to different rating levels with prior approval. Organizers also plan to adjust event schedules to accommodate players’ preferences and maximize the number of games.
