The Sycamore Slam 2025, hosted by the Greater Terre Haute Pickleball Association (GTHPA), will take place from May 16 to May 18, 2025, at Brittlebank Park in Terre Haute, Indiana. This outdoor tournament is open to players of all ages and skill levels, including juniors, and will feature a variety of exciting competitions.
The tournament will begin on Friday, May 16, with men’s and women’s singles, followed by men’s and women’s doubles on Saturday, May 17. The event will wrap up with mixed doubles and junior doubles on Sunday, May 18.
Registration for the event opens on July 6, 2024, and closes on May 11, 2025. The registration fee is $60, with a discount available until April 30, 2025, for those who want to secure a tournament t-shirt.
Tournament Format and Structure
The Sycamore Slam will be played in a round-robin format, with each team or player guaranteed to play 4-6 games. The top 4 teams from each skill division will advance to a bracket playoff to determine the 1st-3rd place winners.
Players must register with a partner and stay with the same partner throughout the tournament. In the event of a division having fewer than four teams, divisions will be combined, and players may receive a refund if their division is eliminated.
Exciting Prize Money for Winners
Prize money will be awarded to the gold medal winners in each division. Winners in the 5.0 skill level for men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles will receive $600, while other divisions such as 4.5, 4.0, 3.5, and 3.0 will receive $300.
Men’s and women’s singles champions will earn $100. Prize money will only be awarded if there are at least 4 teams in a division.
