This announcement marks the start of the seventh season for the APP Tour, showcasing elite pickleball competitions across the globe. The season includes four Major tournaments, which will offer enhanced prize pools and larger player draws, as well as six USA Pickleball “Golden Ticket” tournaments. Winning these Golden Tickets will grant players priority access to the 2025 USAP National Championships.

A Bigger Platform for Pickleball Players

Ken Herrmann, the founder of APP, expressed excitement for the upcoming season:

“The APP Tour continues to set the standard for tournament playing experience for all pickleball players, across all ages and abilities,” (Ken Herrmann).

“The expansion of our linear TV coverage mirrors the sport’s continued rapid growth. We will continue to provide our pro players with a worldwide platform to showcase their skills and share their stories.”(Ken Herrmann)

The tour will also feature competitions for all skill levels, including the AARP Champions (50+) and AARP Masters (60+) divisions. This makes the event accessible to players of various ages and backgrounds, ensuring that everyone has a chance to compete at a high level.

The Fort: A New Hub for Pickleball Excellence

In 2025, the APP Tour will coincide with the opening of The Fort in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This new global headquarters for APP will serve as a state-of-the-art pickleball hub, featuring 43 courts and the world’s first pickleball stadium. It will also house the APP Academy, which will focus on developing new talent and growing the sport worldwide.

Looking Ahead to an Exciting Season

The 2025 APP Tour promises to be the most exciting season yet, with new opportunities for players, fans, and sponsors alike. The combination of national TV coverage, new tournaments, and the opening of The Fort signals that the sport of pickleball is on the rise.

As the sport continues to grow, the APP Tour remains a central part of its evolution, offering world-class competition and promoting the development of the game at all levels.
