Bermudian Pickleball Players Fight Hard at Humana APP Fort Lauderdale Open

Bermudian pickleball players competed in the Humana APP Fort Lauderdale Open, facing formidable opponents in several divisions. While victories were limited, the players demonstrated resilience against tough competition.

Women’s Doubles UTR-P 4.5: 65+

Sue Chiappa and Sarah Fox represented Bermuda in the Women’s Doubles UTR-P 4.5: 65+ division. Despite their best efforts, they finished with a 0-4 record, falling to American pairs:

  • Michelle Foster and Susan Henderson (15-7)
  • Holly Hancock and Jeannie Kirby (15-7)
  • Christine Ford and Maria Ramos (15-2)
  • Robin Crider and Dahlia Hirsch (15-3)

Senior Men’s Doubles UTR-P 65+

Danny Fox and Michael J. Burns competed in the Senior Men’s Doubles UTR-P 65+ division. They secured a single victory in their six matches, defeating Charlie Muller and Ron Schwenk (15-10) in their opening game.

However, they faced challenges in subsequent matches, losing to:
