Over five days, players of all skill levels competed, leading to a thrilling Championship Sunday that saw Megan Fudge and Jack Munro secure two gold medals each.
Fudge, Munro Dominate Championship Sunday
Megan Fudge, the APP’s all-time women’s total medal leader, and 20-year-old rising star Jack Munro were the standout performers of the tournament.
The two paired up to win gold in mixed doubles and added individual victories—Munro in men’s doubles with Will Howells, and Fudge in women’s doubles alongside Jill Braverman.
Chris Haworth continued his dominance in men’s singles, securing his seventh consecutive title, while former University of Miami tennis player Sofia Sewing won her first APP Tour gold in women’s singles. Howells also had a strong showing, finishing with two silver medals.
A Celebration of Pickleball at All Levels
While elite professionals took center stage, the APP Vlasic Classic also welcomed amateur players, showcasing the sport’s inclusive nature. The tournament featured the AARP Champions and AARP Masters Divisions, allowing players 50 and older to compete at a high level.
The event also kicked off the 2025 season-long Humana Cup, a team competition for senior professionals. Gold medalists from the tournament earned the right to pre-register for the 2025 USA Pickleball National Championships, adding extra incentive for players to perform at their best.
