The players, identified as the best in the Next Gen Program, will undergo intensive training under the guidance of experienced coaches Lee Whitwell and Chadwick Edwards.

These coaches will mentor the team at various APP tour stops and internationally, including at the prestigious English Open this August.

In addition to the tour stops, the team will train at the Player Development Headquarters, known as The Fort, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This national training camp will focus on individual peak performance to prepare the next generation of pickleball professionals.

Meet the Rising Stars

The announcement kicks off with the APP’s current #1 Next Gen ranked players, Aidan Schenk and Alexa Schull.

  • Aidan Schenk: A talented player from Oregon, Aidan is currently studying in California. Known for his quick footwork and hand speed, Aidan has become a dominant left-side player. In 2024, she reached her first major singles finals at both The English Open and USAP Nationals. Her aggressive baselining and ability to adapt to adversity have made her one of the brightest prospects in the sport.
