The 2025 APP New York City Open, a USA Pickleball Golden Ticket Tournament, will take place from May 20 to 25 in Queens, New York. Players can register through May 12 at 8:00 p.m. EDT, with entry fees starting at $115. The event features $150,000 in prize money and offers a chance to qualify for the USA Pickleball National Championships.
The tournament is part of the APP Tour and will host amateur and professional players in singles and doubles categories. Tickets for the event are now available at TheAPP.global. Competitors are required to pay in full during registration.
Registration Requirements
This is a sanctioned USA Pickleball tournament. All players must have a current USA Pickleball CHAMPION level membership active through the end of the tournament. The membership number must be included in each player’s profile.
For amateur players, registration is confirmed when:

Singles players have registered and paid.

Doubles players have both registered, paid, and are paired.
Teams risk being moved to the waitlist if one partner has not completed registration and payment.
Rules for Amateur Events
Players may only compete in one division per day. Brackets will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The APP may adjust bracket sizes depending on demand. Waitlists will be managed accordingly to make space where possible.
Partner Replacements and Deadlines
If a registered player loses their partner after the registration deadline, they must find a replacement from the list of already registered players. Replacements must be in the same skill and age group. Players can play down in age and up in skill.
The list of players needing partners is available at utrsports.net. If the cancellation deadline hasn’t passed, the withdrawing player is eligible for a refund minus a $25 withdrawal fee and software charges. The new player must pay the entry and software fees. After the deadline, no refunds will be issued.

The Player Entry Fee is $115 and covers the athlete credential. Division-specific fees are:

Players may purchase a Registration & Weather Insurance Policy at the time of registration. Refunds are only available before the cancellation deadline without insurance. After that, no refunds or credits will be issued unless the insurance was purchased in advance.
